Player and Parent/Legal Guardian Commitment Letter
2025 Season
Dear Player, Parents and/or Legal Guardians:
We are pleased that you will be a member of the Legends Athletics Travel teams for the 2025 season. This letter sets forth some basic information about the team, the 2025 winter/summer season, and describes the nature of the commitments that are expected from players and their parents.
The estimated registration fee to participate on a Legends Athletics Travel team is $725 for 8U-10U and $925 for 11U and up for the 2025 season. A payment plan setup is due at initial team meeting and paper work received, the remaining balance will be due by end of payment plan. Any player who has a balance remaining after payment plan is completed may be held from participating in any practice and/or games until the balance is paid. No refunds will be given if the undersigned player chooses to leave the Legends Athletics after the commitment registration fee has been made. There will be opportunities to participate in team fundraisers to raise money to offset additional team expenses.
Team Rules for Players, Parents and/or Legal Guardians
Each player and their parents are expected to make the following commitments: (please read each one)
All team practices and games are important. Players must be attentive and on time to practices and games unless otherwise agreed upon by the Legends coaching staff. During practices and games - there will be NO electronic devices in the dugout. In the event of injury, illness, emergency, or any other reason, the coaches must be informed in advance of any practices or games that cannot be attended.
Players, parents and/or legal guardians must display sportsmanship at all times during practices and all games. This includes, but is not limited to, being courteous to the umpires at all times regardless of whether you agree with their calls; being courteous to the opposing team’s players and coaches at all times regardless if they are courteous to you. Violations can include reduction of playing time in games; being taken off the roster for tournament/league games; or suspension from the team.
Legends Athletics travel team and coaches do not guarantee specific participant playing time. Playing time will be earned during practice, continued improvement of fundamental techniques, and player attitude and commitments.
Players, parents, and/or legal guardians are strongly encouraged to participate in all fund-raising events and tournament sponsorships that benefit the teams.
Players, parents, and/or legal guardians are to comply with all game related requests of the team coaches including, but not limited to, what position(s) to play; what innings to play; and strategies to be used.
There is a zero tolerance policy for harassment and/or bullying. Behaviors, actions, words or images in verbal, physical, written, pictorial, video, or electronic form that are threatening, disturbing, intimidating, discriminatory, illegal, derogatory, cruel or unwanted-aimed directly or indirectly towards another person will not be tolerated. Violation of this policy will result in suspension from the team for the current season and a review by coaches for privilege to play the following season.
There is a zero tolerance drug (including smoking and smokeless tobacco) and alcohol policy for players. Violation of this policy will result in suspension from team for the current season and a review by coaches for privilege to play the following season.
If a team is to dismantle all fundraising money raised will be placed in the Legends Travel Program general fundraising account.
